An Egret in the Lotus Lillies of Fogg Dam Conservation Area Wetlands. Fogg Dam was built in the 1950’s as part of an ambitious plan to grow rice in the Northern Territory. Despite the project's failure, the dam wall is maintained to this day to provide freshwater wetland habitat for a huge array of bird, turtle, snake, plant and fish species and occasionally, crocodiles.
